Replying to or hijacking my own post here to just throw out a hearty thanks to William Tell for all your cordial and humorous input to this forum. You are true gentleman and a scholar – always here to help trim the sails. Or to use another nautical expression – the sturdy keel that helps keep this ship from completely tipping over.

We need all the goodness we can get, especially as we wade through this current onslaught by he of many names. Let me wrap this up by mentioning two more things I’ve just experienced, in addition to Jack White, that I know are beloved by you. Last night I attended a co-workers birthday bash at our small theatre where he (and his wife) rented the place out and showed “Stop Making Sense.” It was quite the rave to be dancing freely down in front – and what a great film. And yesterday at work we listened for the first time to the Clapton Winwood reunion – that really made me smile. So again thanks WT – don’t mean to be gushy, but you know we love you!

Well thanks D! I must admit, it's been nice to hear from you and the others...what a funny place this is--and I pathetically have to admit, that what happens here matters to me in some small nonetheless significant way...if I were not disabled, capable of spending much more time away from a desk, it might be different, but with working 10-12 hrs a day on the puter, it makes for a perfect "five minute" break to scroll over here every hour or two and see what's shaking. Just caught me off guard to imagine, and I do appreciate the concerns of some like Healy, that I very well may have been rec'd differently by some, in spite of my best efforts. That's okay--I can appreciate their concerns, just as they were voiced so many yrs ago (in the repeat post above).

Anyhow--thanks dude.

The other morning Im watching WW2 in HD on History channel, reading the forum and posting a little Python humor to the purse spammer. Will and Rob are exchanging Churchill, Sinatra stories. Im a history buff and Sinatra fan. Pretty fun for me, sorta made my morning.
One never really knows how their posts, even the most trivial posts, can effect someone else.

There is plenty of great GD discussion here, with plenty of cyberspace left over for banter, harmless flirtations,( from what Ive seen, I can say with a high degree of certainty, there is not a mysogonistic bone in Tell's body) and lockerroom towel snapping. Of course, attemted highjacks and foul language by trolls are right out.

I join Vapor's hearty thanks to Will Tell for his high value GD music contributions, humor, anecdotes, even keel and chili recipe.
Dont ya go a changing.
Just my two-bit piece.

And thanks to you too, BBB...can't say I don't appreciate the feedback; this place is what we make it, and if enough folks said "hey, just STFU for a while Tell" I'd reluctantly, BUT more than willingly, comply.

Hey Tell, you're going soft on us brother. Been hangin' around those hippy-dippy, rainbows and smiley faces Deadhookers too much. All ya gotta do is remind everybody you're the Prime Ri...um Minister and tell 'em not to let the door hit 'em where the Good Lord split 'em. And besides anybody that tries to run you out of here is gonna have one helluva fight on their hands.
